"Shocking Hollywood Tragedy: Rising Star of 'Game of Thrones' and 'Dungeons and Dragons' Taken Too Soon at 36!"

Darren Kent, a gifted actor known for his roles in prominent productions like "Game of Thrones," "Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves," and "EastEnders," passed away on Friday at the age of 36.

His unfortunate passing was officially confirmed by his talent agency, Carey Dodd Associates, through a heartfelt statement shared on Twitter this Tuesday.

"With heavy hearts, we sadly announce the peaceful departure of our beloved friend and client, Darren Kent, on Friday," the agency expressed. "Surrounded by his loving parents and closest friend, he bid farewell. During this challenging time, our thoughts and affection are with his family. May he rest in peace."

Kent's roots traced back to Essex, where he was born and raised. He honed his craft at Italia Conti, graduating in 2007. His breakthrough came in 2008 when he starred in the horror film "Mirrors." Notably, he made an appearance in "Game of Thrones," portraying a goatherd in Slavers Bay. Most recently, he graced the screen as a reanimated corpse in the 2023 production "Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves."

His acting repertoire extended to include impressive works like "Snow White and the Huntsman," "Marshal’s Law," "Bloody Cuts," "The Frankenstein Chronicles," "Blood Drive," "Les Misérables," "Green Fingers," "EastEnders," "Happy Hours," "Love Without Walls," and "Birds Sorrow."

A pinnacle moment in Kent's career arrived when he secured the Best Actor accolade at the Van D’or Awards in 2012. He earned this honor for his portrayal of Danny, a young boy afflicted with a rare skin condition that confined him indoors, in the film "Sunny Boy." Interestingly, Kent shared a personal connection with his character as he too battled a skin disorder, alongside osteoporosis and arthritis.

Beyond his acting prowess, Kent also excelled as an award-winning writer and director. His directorial endeavor, the short film "You Know Me," released in 2021, earned him a coveted January Award.
